or swim at your leisure.

There are many trails on and outside of our
property to discover rivers, waterfalls, other
mineral springs and all the beautiful surroundings.

Bird watching: the factors as the climate, relative
humidity and food of this region, are favorable
to nearly 350 species of birds. Many of this
birds migrate from cold countries in the winter
(generally from November to March).
d)
Horsebackriding: upon request and with previous
reservation we will have horses available to
tour the beautiful surrounding region.

a)
Monarch butterfly sanctuaries: in the months
from November though March you can visit this
sanctuaries of millions of butterflies that
migrate from Canada and northern United States.
After traveling nearly 5000kms these butterflies
come down to Angangueo and Ocampo . This sanctuaries
are about one hour travel time from our resort.
b)
San Felipe Los Alzati; Archeological monumental
ceremonial center of matlazinca origin (about
30 minutes away) In the winter you can also
visit the production in huge quantities of the
Christmas flowers, poinsettias.
c)
Grutas de Tziranda: Due to the great amount
of water and mountains that are found in the
region, there are undergound formations like
the grottos of Tziranda. In them are showy calcareous
formations that give origin to rooms, narrow
passageways and stalactites where plant and
millennial animal fossils can be seen. (about
40 Minutes away).
d)
Saltos de el Moro (Tuxpan) y Enandio (Juárez):
impressive waterfalls about (30minutes and 1
hour away).
e) Los
Azufres: a natural reservation park where you
can visit Laguna Larga a beautiful high altitude
wooded area with lakes and hot springs. You
can take a mud bath or soak in the hot thermal
water. (about 1hour 45 minutes away) on your
way you can visit San Pedro, a town where ceramic
pots and pans are created.
f)
Presas de Pucuato, Sabaneta y Mata de Pinos:
Three beautiful water reservoirs surrounded
by wooded areas.
(1hour and 45 minutes away) Can be combined
with the Azufres tour.
g)
Tarandacuao and Tzitzingareo: both places where
you can watch the production of ceramics, roof
tiles, and bricks.
h)
Morelia: the capital of Michoacán. A
beautiful colonial city where you can visit
museums, churches, art galleries etc. (about
2 ½ hours away)
i)
Pátzcuaro, Santa Clara del Cobre, Tzinzunzan:
All towns known for their beautiful crafts (from
painted wood, beautiful weavings, all kind of
things out of straw, copper, just to name a
few.) (About 3 hours away).
j)
Angangueo: a colorful colonial mining town.
Where you can visit the church of Concepción
with its gothic style, the museum casa Parker
and a touristic tunnel. You can find delicate
silver crafts. (about 1 hour away).
k)
Tlalpujahua and Tlalpujahuilla: Tipical colonial
mining town. You can visit thr Convent of San
Francisco from the 18th century. Also worth
visiting is la parroquia Virgen del Carmen and
a museum with pictures of the time where mining
was big. Also here you can find all kind of
beautiful crafts like ceramics, cast iron, laton,
silver articles but most well known for their
Christmas balls (about 1hour 45minutes away).
